Villain Name: Persona (like a TV persona, or a character)
Name: Adrian Adams
Age: 26
Gender: male
Power: Ability to control/manipulate electronic devices, as limited by their actual hardware and software. Thus, he cannot make a computer sprout mechanical legs and terrorize people, but he can make the computer upload a virus to the internet (assuming the virus already exists and he knows where it is saved on the computer).
He mostly uses this to hijack the HeroTV copters, confuse anyone trying to figure out where he is, "borrow" any speakers within an area, or change the channel on his tv. This applies to any computers, radios, cellphones, monitors, etc. as well as any signals related to such devices.

He has to know exactly where a device is and how it works in order to control it. As such, he often rigs buildings and areas written into the "script" so that he can make his escape with the proper theatrics. It's not like his power comes equipped with a user-friendly interface. Lights and simple electronics that he can see are easy enough to use to improvise and distract his pursuer (he's not much good in an actual fight), but more advanced digital things require some research.

Also his power only affects a certain distance, but it's large enough that unless he's trying to control things halfway across the city, he should be fine, though requiring a greater degree of concentration the further from him the device is. At its limit, he has to close his eyes and stand very, very still to do anything useful (which isn't any good if there's some actiony thing going on) However, anywhere within a hundred or so feet is game.

On the suit: Adrian has a whole wardrobe of fancy dress to use for his outings, including another jacket or two, several oddly colored vests, and a bunch of weird bowties. Generally, his shirt, jacket, and pants are standard black, with the addition of the cape (connected under the jacket collar--and there's only one cape). The soles of the shoes and the bottom of the cane light up when they contact the floor (or any object), and the mask is practically a bunch of programmable screens, so he can change the color/pattern, animation at will. See other reference. All the lights are for show and don't do anything. There is generally a small mic on one of his collars as well as a mic built into the top of the cane. He just projects the sound into any nearby speakers (except for phones headphones--that's just creepy)
The suit has far more pockets than it should, with some equipment to broadcast anything he'd need to, including Wifi. All paid for by his day job and normal, quite existent life. Yay for no rigid hero schedule!

History: Adrian led a normal life as a drama geek up until sometime in high school when he got his powers. For a while he simply ignored them outside of mundane purposes, until recently, when he decided that the various criminals that the heroes face weren't nearly interesting enough, thus giving him the idea to be an epic sort of ongoing villain. Currently, he co-owns a special effects studio with his room mate(s), all of whom are in on his secret little life and help with some of the intel and backstage work. Such as editing him into places he isn't, which is pretty easy considering his powers.
Personality: Adrian is an actor. He likes, more than anything else, a good show. He also likes to hold as many cards as he can, and it is for this purpose that he wears the mask--his eyes are concealed so that, until unavoidable, he can pretend he's just got a bunch of hackers helping him. He's quite the troll, if his choice to be a villain with his power rather than a hero is any indication, but he isn't really out to harm anyone or take anything or commit any treacherous acts of villainy. As he would say, "The only thing I'm out to steal is the show"
He rather enjoys doing accents and can convincingly pull off more than any normal person with a life should be able to.

Adrian once interned at Hero TV over the summer between his high school and college years. He'd actually been considering newscasting as a career at that point, despite already having his powers. In the end, he decided against it, but the experience helped ensure he wasn't just randomly fiddling with the equipment after becoming Persona.
